Transitional Housing Program

  • Solid Ground

Opened in 2004, Solid Ground was one of the first housing programs in Chicago to serve male-identifying youth experiencing homelessness. Residents ages 18 to 21 can live at Solid Ground for two years or until their 21st birthday. During that time, they receive on-site support services, including life skills and employment readiness training, therapy, and access to healthcare. This helps to prepare Solid Ground’s 16 residents to move on as young adults to stable housing.
