Located in the Logan Square and Back of the Yards neighborhoods, emergency shelter beds serve unaccompanied youth experiencing homelessness, ages 18 through 24. Along with a safe space to stay, youth receive two hot meals, access to showers and laundry facilities, and case management. 40 beds are available for single youth at two shelters. A third shelter for pregnant and parenting youth offers five beds in private rooms for young moms with children.

Located in the Humboldt Park and Back of the Yards neighborhoods, two drop-in centers are open weekdays for unaccompanied youth ages 16 through 24. Along with a safe space to stay during daytime hours, youth receive two meals and access to resources, including computers, storage lockers, and case management. From financial literacy to individual therapy to family reunification, youth receive the support they need to succeed.

La Casa Norte helps families access emergency rent assistance from its facility at 2523 W. 47th St., and on Thursdays, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., at our Humboldt Park community center, 3335 W. North Ave.
A legal aid clinic at the 47th St. office offers free legal assistance with expungements, immigration, criminal, and/or housing issues. Call (773) 276-4900, option 1, to complete a form requesting an appointment.
Other programs at 2523 W. 47th St. include Public Health Ambassadors for youth, job info for 18 - 24 year-olds, financial help for Internet services, and COVID-19 at-home tests.
