Our new state-of-the-art facility houses our Information and Referral Specialists’ who provide community members with the appropriate resources and referrals to increase their housing stability. This office will also offer access to free fax machine, a notary, fresh produce and nutritious food through our Fresh Market in partnership with Lake View Pantry and our health services through our Health Clinic in partnership with Howard Brown Health. It also houses all of our direct service program staff including DCFS, Housing Advocacy and Case Management, Palante Case Management, Rapid Re-Housing, and our Nutrition Center.
“Feed our Youth” Program — Cooking is a high need at La Casa Norte – we serve about 35,000 meals annually in Logan Square, Humboldt Park and Back of the Yards and these meals are served every single day. We would love to have you help us in providing a warm meal to our youth!
Housing Location — Assist case-managers in locating housing for clients who are ready to transition into permanent supportive housing. Searches can be done either online or by driving around neighborhoods looking for apartments for rent.
Employment Search — Assist our case-managers by creating a job leads that will be distributed to clients looking for work. Possibly able to assist clients with resume writing, mock interviewing, and employment searching.
Fresh Market in partnership with Lakeview Pantry — help out every Monday at our choice market pantry as either a personal shopper, glean team, or greeter.
